A European home appliance manufacturer approached BG Motor for a customized motor solution for its new generation of smart bread makers. The project required a motor with stable kneading performance, quiet operation, long service life, and high-temperature resistance. The customer wanted a solution that could ensure powerful dough mixing while keeping production cost under control and meeting CE, ROHS, and FCC certification requirements.
During the development stage, the customer encountered several technical and cost-related issues:
The existing DC motor did not deliver enough torque, leading to poor kneading and uneven dough texture.
The motor noise level was too high for a premium home appliance.
Continuous operation in high-temperature baking environments caused motor efficiency loss and shorter lifespan.
The motor needed to remain compact and cost-efficient without compromising performance.
After analyzing the bread maker’s working conditions, BG Motor’s R&D engineers designed a customized single-phase AC motor with an integrated gear transmission system. The solution focused on achieving high torque, low noise, high temperature resistance, and stable cost performance for mass production.
Key technical advantages:
High torque output:The optimized electromagnetic design combined with a precision gear drive ensures powerful torque transmission, allowing the motor to handle heavy dough kneading smoothly.
Low noise and stable operation:Through dynamic balancing and high-quality bearings, the vibration and noise are reduced to ≤40dB, creating a quiet kitchen experience.
High temperature resistance:The AC motor uses Class F insulation materials and heat-resistant components to maintain consistent performance up to 120°C during continuous baking cycles.
Cost control advantage:Compared with DC or brushless solutions, the single-phase AC motor provides reliable mechanical performance with more controllable cost, making it ideal for large-scale production and price-sensitive markets.
Compact and efficient design:The motor diameter (44mm–75mm) allows easy integration into compact bread maker structures, while ensuring stable output power between 10W–1200W.
Long lifespan and energy saving:Optimized winding structure and magnetic design ensure energy efficiency and durability beyond 10,000 hours of operation.
After over 500 continuous operation cycles, BG Motor’s AC motor maintained stable torque and low temperature rise. No significant performance drop or component wear was observed, confirming long-term reliability for home appliance applications.
Welcome to the detailed data of this bread machine motor
The European manufacturer praised the solution’s balance between performance and cost. The bread maker achieved better kneading power, lower operational noise, and longer durability, while the motor cost remained competitive. This made it easier for the customer to expand into mid-to-high-end markets across Europe.
